One of the most beautiful places on earth...both the valley, and the high country of the Sierra crest. I've been fortunate to be able to play there often.

Half Dome Smolders, 8-September-2018

Day 2 of the Meadow Fire. Light overnight rain showers had slowed the flames, and filled the valleys with smoke, as a weak beam of morning sunlight warmed up Half Dome. The firefighters were grateful for Mother Nature's help, but they still had a lot of work before it was under control.
