The Icing on My Birthday Cake
El Capitan, from the Four Mile Trail, in Yosemite National Park. It was my birthday, and after being grey and overcast all morning, for just a minute or two, sunlight fell on rock. Seeing it start to develop, I had to run 100 meters through snow to get to an opening where I could take the shot. Fun stuff.
