First light reaches the summit of Phari Lapche (6017 m / 19,740 feet), as the turquoise waters of Gokyo Lake reflect a cold, calm morning. Notice the ice along the shore in the lower left corner...the lake is at 4870 m (16,0000 feet), and it was well below zero C.
