Great Basin National Park, Nevada
A remote park, in northeastern Nevada encompassing a north-south chain of high peaks, rising up from the salt flats and sagebrush of the surrounding basin country. It includes a cave, native American history, ancient Bristllecone Pine trees, and more. Well worth a visit.

Wheeler Peak Sunrise - 16 June 2017
At 13,065 feet tall, Wheeler Peak is the highest point in Great Basin National Park, and the second highest peak in Nevada. It also has Nevada's only remaining alpine glacier...although it may not survive climate change for much longer.
