Eagle's Nest #1

Looking up one of the washes, I photographed this scene, focusing on that butte and that dramatic sky. It was only when I got home, and zoomed in, did I realize that there is a large Golden eagle stick nest on that butte, just below the summit, on a shelf on the right. What an amazing treat for a badlands hike!
