Bears Ears National Monument, Utah
Read More"Sunset Shadows, Valley of the Gods - 19 February 2017", Bears Ears National Monument, Utah, USA
At the southern end of Cedar Mesa, great sandstone cliffs drop down into the monuments and buttes of Valley of the Gods. For many centuries, Cedar Mesa was home to ancestral Pueblan peoples, and the mesa has thousands of archeological sites and ruins. This is all part of the new Bears Ears National Monument. Sadly, the GOP is trying to reverse National Monument designation, because they believe the state of Utah can manage this property better than Uncle Sam. #BearsEars #StandWithBearsEars
