Petrified Logs and Hoodoos, Bisti Wilderness, New Mexico, 23-February-2022
These petrified logs must have been impressive trees when they were alive. Seventy million years ago, this area was a swampy shoreline on the edge of an inland sea. Today, it's an eroding and starkly beautiful badland that has revealed many interesting fossils.
