Here are my 12 favorite photos from 2021, by month. In many ways, 2021 sucked. But still, every day the light comes up around the world on awesome and inspiring landscapes like these. I'm a very lucky guy to be able to chase the light like I do.

Luminous Lenticular Cloud over Mt. Shasta, 7-January-2021

This was one of the most spectacular lenticular clouds that I have seen over Mt. Shasta. It grew and shrank and changed in texture for an hour or so, as the sun got low in the west...but the light was flat and the peak obscured. And then, for just a few minutes, the cloud lifted and the light got truly amazing. #LuckyToLiveHere #MtShasta #HighWildPlaces
