Here are my 12 favorite photos from 2021, by month. In many ways, 2021 sucked. But still, every day the light comes up around the world on awesome and inspiring landscapes like these. I'm a very lucky guy to be able to chase the light like I do.

Behind Hedge Creek Falls, Dunsmuir, California, 20-November-2021

First light reaches the tops of pine trees in Hedge Creek canyon, as seen from behind the fall. The creek here is forced to flow over an ancient lava flow from Mt. Shasta that hardened here, creating this lovely waterfall.
